Hosted by Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering (CSEE), CIGRE and China National Committee, organized by Relaying Protection Study Committee of CSEE, APAP 2015-the 6th International Conference on Advanced Power System Automation and Protection and CIGRE Study Committee B5 2015 annual meeting & colloquium have been held in Nanjing from September 20th to 25th, 2015. More than 400 experts from power grid companies, power companies, scientific research institutions, and universities from more than 30 countries and regions were invited to attend the meeting.
SIFANG's founder, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Mr. Yang Qixun, as a special guest, attended and chaired the APAP keynote report meeting. Vice president, Mr. Zhu presented a keynote report with the title of “Challenges and Opportunities for Wide Area Protection and Control via Communication Technology”, sharing the experiences and SIFANG’s contribution in the field of the wide area protection and control with the attending guests.
Consisted of 13 group meetings, APAP seminar was lasted for four days, SIFANG experts presented their thesis statements and made technical communication with domestic and international experts in focus group discussions of Substation Automation, Wide Area Protection & Measurement, UHV Protection & Control, System Analysis & Stability Control etc. During CIGRE SC B5 Protection and Automation group seminar held in the same period, with the theme of Transient performance of instrument transformers for protection purpose, experts and scholars from all over the world made further discussions. On the exhibition, SIFANG’s digital substation, power grid stability and integrated management solutions aroused visitors’ great interest, technical experts gave detailed explanation for visitors’ concerned questions.
This meeting created a high-quality technical exchange platform for the power industry experts, academics and researchers, which played a good role in promoting direct understandings of the international industry's latest technological developments, expressing technical point of view, and enhancing the technological innovation. Meanwhile, it also played a positive role for SIFANG’s international brand promotion and marketing development.
